Heyyyy everyone!! My names Ruby, and I’m a student dietitian at Univeristy of Hertforshire. I’m also in my second year, just completing a case study assignment for practice education 5 (in replacement of placement B). Like a lot of you, I was 5 days into a 12 week placement before we was pulled due to coronavirus:( . Things I love about where I study? Close to London (maybe 20 mins), and my first year lecturer was the great Angela Madden who has published many pieces in the handbook of nutrition and dietetics, not to mention the dietetic manual too (she’s the sweetest lady on earth too!!). What do you love about doing dietetics in the location you’ve chosen?? I can imagine Plymouth being peaceful by the water and the seafood being so fresh 😍. Big shoutout to Molly!! For getting this page up and running. And rolling out the different resources (webinars, fact sheets). Would love to do a meet a greet with everyone (if they’re comfortable). Would be amazing in the near future to set up a stall maybe at the Excel Exhibition (for those who are able to travel to London) and promote what #RD2bs do. Purpose of my Instagram? Share my experiences, give some nutrition facts, debunk myths, keep people encouraged about having a healthy relationship with food, share resources like webinars I found useful, occasionally quiz nights. My interests at the moment are either being a critical care specialist or a sports Dietitian’s. However I have little experience in either - so this is just ideas and thoughts. It’s really fun to see other people’s of interests, seems like gut microbes seems to be a popular one. Very excited to see what Is next to come from @theaspiringdietitian - hope everyone is coping well with the stress levels and general mental health. Let me know what things you are doing to keep sane during this pandemic :) x Here’s a picture of me (although no one asked 😂)
